LEGAL NOTICE

The City of Willoughby pursuant to Revised Code 721.15 shall conduct a sale of surplus City property by Internet Auction on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 8:00 a.m.

The Public Internet Auction shall be held on the eBay website (www.ebay.com). Said Auction shall commence on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. EST with open bidding continuing for a period of ten (10) days, until Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 7:59 a.m. EST. The aircraft for auction by the City of Willoughby shall be advertised under the seller ID of “ctywlbyoh”.

Terms of the sale will be as follows: The highest bidder upon the close of the open bidding period will be deemed the successful bidder at the Internet Auction. Upon the close of the Auction, the City shall remit an invoice to the successful bidder for the amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall deposit ten percent (10%) of the winning bid within five (5) days of the aircraft Auction’s close. Any funds remitted pursuant to this initial deposit shall be nonrefundable. The remaining balance must be remitted at or before pick up of the aircraft. The aircraft shall be removed within thirty (30) days of Auction close. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, cashiers check, certified check, or money order.

THE CITY OF WILLOUGHBY, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS, SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF TITLE, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The City reserves the right to reject any bids and to withdraw the item from the auction.

Lost Nation AirportThe Willoughby Lost Nation Municipal Airport (KLNN) is owned and operated by the City of Willoughby and is designated as a General Aviation Reliever Airport to Cleveland-Hopkins International and is part of the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS).

The airport is located approximately 3 miles north of downtown Willoughby and 16 miles east of downtown Cleveland. Its 420+ acres are situated in the cities of Willoughby and Mentor, both in Lake County.

The airport has two runways: runway 5-23 which is 5,013 feet long by 100 feet wide, and runway 10-28 which is 4,835 feet long by 100 feet wide.

Navigation aids include VOR, PAPI, and REILS for runways 5-23 and VOR, PAPI, REILS, NDB and GPS for runways 10-28, with pilot controlled medium intensity runway/taxiway lighting systems.

Facilities include a full-service Fixed Base Operator (FBO) providing fuel, major airframe/powerplant repairs, aircraft tiedown and hangar storage. Based aircraft number 86 and include single- and multi-engine, turbo prop and jet with approximately 35-40 thousand aircraft operations annually. Additionally, there are 6 multi-tenant hangars to house private and corporate aircraft.

The airport’s administrative office is located at 38550 Jet Center Drive.
