The Division of Building and Zoning is managed under the general supervision and direction of the Director of Public Safety, Mayor's Office. The Division is responsible for the enforcement of Building, Housing and Zoning codes as well as other ordinances adopted by legislative authority and set forth in the zoning code, Chapters 1101 through 1179, and the building code, Chapters 1301 through 1399. These codes are published by state and national organizations, not the city, and available for purchase from the various organization.
