The City of Willoughby has a 2% municipal income tax. It is a tax imposed on annual net profits earned in Willoughby and all salaries and compensations. (Payroll Tax)
All residents are required to file a return whether one has income or not. Individuals who are retired must fill out an Exemption Certificate (the top portion of the tax return form). City tax returns are due April 15.
Representatives from R.I.T.A. will be at the Browning Center, 38032 Brown Ave. in Willoughby, on Tuesday, March 30th from 12:00 noon - 7:00 pm. There is also assistance available at Mentor Municipal Center, 8500 Civic Center Blvd. in Mentor, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. No appointment necessary.
