2008 Summer Concert Schedule Announced

The City of Willoughby is please to present the Second Annual Summer Concert Series. This year’s performances will offer an eclectic mix of entertainment – Folk, Caribbean, Classical, Jazz, and more. A big thank you goes to The Classic Auto Group, Lake Hopsital System and Marous Brothers Construction for their sponsorship of these concerts. Their generosity makes it possible to attract the well-known talent listed below. All concerts will begin a 7:00 pm and will take place in the gazebo at Point Park.

August 21 - Long Road is made up of five Folk and Rock music veterans, all from the Cleveland area. The group is known for its concerts of all-‘60s singer-songwriter fare – songs by Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, Tom Paxton, Phil Ochs, Judy Collins, and many other of the era. Among Long Road’s concerts during the past year, the group has sold out concerts at Cain Park’s Alma Theater and Nighttown.

September 4 - The Don Disantis Orchestra combines to present musical variety for audiences across northern Ohio. From Big Band to Broadway to the great standards of Sinatra and Martin, audiences are treated to an entertaining evening of music.
