August Family Fun Night

Bring the entire family to enoy an evening out in the park. The parks and recreation department will have inflatables at Ryan Park @ Ridge Acres (Located behind Lowe's) on Thursday, August 14. The fun starts at 6:30pm. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on.

Family Movie Night at Osborne Park

Thursday, August 7, Osborne Park Swimming Pool. The pool will be the entire time with the slides closing at 8:00pm, with a family movie to be shown starting around 8:15pm. Bring your own popcorn or the concession stand will be open as well. If you arrive after 7:30pm there the cost is FREE to enter the facility. Come get wet and see a movie on us.

Discount Amusement Park Tickets

The parks and recreation department is once again selling discounted amusement park tickets to Cedar Point, Kings Island, Geauga Lake's Wildwater Kingdom and Pioneer Waterland. Call 953-4200 for ticket prices.

Dial-A Ride Program Change for Card Holders

Effective July 1, 2008 Willoughby residents that have been obtained a Dial-A-Ride card (Seniors (55 and older) and/or disabled) will pay 50¢ to ride the Laketran Dial-a-Ride bus. Since 1986 the City of Willoughby has subsidized 100% of the cost of the ride billed to us from Laketran. Due to two increases in the cost of the fare since 2006 the city will now be subsidizing $1.00 of the cost of the ride, with the remainder of the fare being paid for by the rider. CABLE CHANNEL 12

The parks and recreation department is the place to mail, fax, drop off or e-mail your Willoughby school, service organization, church group, scouting or other non-profit announcement to have it placed on the community information cable channel.

RENTAL OF FACILITIES

You can rent one of our six park pavilions, the downtown Wes Point Park bandstand, or room at the Willoughby Senior Center.

COMMEMORATIVE TREE PROGRAM

The Commemorative Tree Program is designed for those persons or organizations, either living within or outside the City of Willoughby, desiring to commemorate a particular person or event by planting a tree. Learn more here.
