Childrens Drawing Class

Draw Amazing Things With Young Rembrandts Cartooning.

Learning to draw can be lots of fun! Especially if we’re creating

silly characters, funny expressions, and drawing sequences that tell jokes! This delightful program combines Young Rembrandts’ innovative step-by-step drawing method with light-hearted

subject matters that engage children, their sense of humor and their vivid imaginations. All materials are supplied. Classes start in September and November. Call 953-4200 for more details!

Ceramics for Kids

source of fun for kids. Are you looking for an indoor kid activity? Does your child have the desire to do something creative or imaginative? How about trying this great class! You can signup for one, two, three or all four! These are 2 day, seasonal themed classes held in in Sept., Oct., Nov., and Dec. Cal parks and rec at 953-4200.

Steps to Success Preschool Sign-Up Now Going On

The curriculum is designed to develop social skills, language, reading, math, art and music. Individual and group projects are made. A snack is served daily. Register now and prepare your child to be successful in kindergarten. The caregiver needs to be able to stay 1-2 times during the 7 week session to help in the classroom. This class is taught by our our very popular instructor Mrs. Johnson. For ages 3 - 4. See page 15 of the brochure or call 953-4200 for more information.

The parks and recreation department is the place to mail, fax, drop off or e-mail your Willoughby school, service organization, church group, scouting or other non-profit announcement to have it placed on the community information cable channel.

RENTAL OF FACILITIES

You can rent one of our six park pavilions, the downtown Wes Point Park bandstand, or room at the Willoughby Senior Center.

COMMEMORATIVE TREE PROGRAM

The Commemorative Tree Program is designed for those persons or organizations, either living within or outside the City of Willoughby, desiring to commemorate a particular person or event by planting a tree. Learn more here.

The department offices are located on the main floor of City Hall. We make every effort to provide our citizens and visitors with the finest recreational and educational opportunities as well as modern facilities and some of the most beautiful parks in Ohio. Please take advantage of our programs and sign up early for your classes & activities.

We are also proud of our beautiful Lost Nation Golf Course which is open year-round, weather permitting. Lessons are also available to beginners and more experienced players along with a driving range.

All of us that work for the Parks, Recreation, Swimming Pools, Senior Center and Golf Course will do everything we can to help you have a great experience. We hope to see you at a park or at a special event soon!
