Safety Town

The Willoughby Safety Town will be held June 16 - 20. Two sessions are offered: 8:45 - 11:30am, and 1:00 - 3:45pm. Registration forms are available under the forms button to the left. This program is open only to those living in Willoughby, Willoughby Hills, and Kirtland. You can frop your complted form off at the parks and recreation office.

Parks and Recreation Department Announces Extended Office Hours

The parks and recreation department will be open later in the day and on selected Saturdays in May and June.

The "Rec House" located north of city hall, at the end of East Spaulding, will be open Monday - Thursday from May 12 - June 12 until 6pm. They will also be open on Saturday May 17, 31, June 7 & 14 from 9am - 11:30am.

Remember to bring a utility bill or piece of first class mail with you to receive the resident rate for swimming pool passees and all other recreation programs.

OFFICE HOURS

Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm. We have extended hours in the summer. Watch cable channel 12 for the dates and times.

The parks and recreation department is the place to mail, fax, drop off or e-mail your Willoughby school, service organization, church group, scouting or other non-profit announcement to have it placed on the community information cable channel.

RENTAL OF FACILITIES

You can rent one of our six park pavilions, the downtown Wes Point Park bandstand, or room at the Willoughby Senior Center.

COMMEMORATIVE TREE PROGRAM

The Commemorative Tree Program is designed for those persons or organizations, either living within or outside the City of Willoughby, desiring to commemorate a particular person or event by planting a tree. Learn more here.

Welcome!

We are located at 2 Public Square, next to City Hall in a red brick house nicknamed “the Rec House”. We make every effort to provide our citizens and visitors with the finest recreational and educational opportunities as well as modern facilities and some of the most beautiful parks in Ohio. Please take advantage of our programs and sign up early for your classes & activities.

We are also proud of our beautiful Lost Nation Golf Course which is open year-round, weather permitting. Lessons are also available to beginners and the more experienced players.

All of us that work in the Parks, Recreation, Swimming Pools, Senior Center and Golf Course will do everything we can to help you have a great year. We hope to see you at a park or at a special event!
