Dial-A Ride Program Change for Card Holders

Effective July 1, 2008 Willoughby residents that have been obtained a Dial-A-Ride card (Seniors (55 and older) and/or disabled) will pay 50¢ to ride the Laketran Dial-a-Ride bus. Since 1986 the City of Willoughby has subsidized 100% of the cost of the ride billed to us from Laketran. Due to two increases in the cost of the fare since 2006 the city will now be subsidizing $1.00 of the cost of the ride, with the remainder of the fare being paid for by the rider. If you have any questions call the Parks and Recreation office at 953-4200.
