Tree Planting & Replacement

Following the city’s master tree plan, the city arborist, with recommendations from the Shade Tree Commission, control the planting and removal of trees within tree lawn areas. For information about which trees may be planted in a particular tree lawn area, call 953-4111.

Tree Pruning

Trees in the City tree lawn area are usually trimmed by city crews to provide clearances for sidewalks and major thoroughfares. Individual property owners. Property owners are responsible for trimming any trees located on their private property with hang over sidewalks or streets. For more information, call 953-4111.

Tree Storm Damage

Upon notice, the city will remove any tree or limb located in the tree lawn or right-of-way area that has been knocked down during a storm. Call 953-4111 to report such occurrences.
